CANWINE, The Canadian Wine Forum
- CANWINE was started in January 1994 to provide a forum
for the discussion of Canadian wines. We're not a collection of wine snobs,
just a friendly group interested in discussing wines made in Canada of
Canadian grapes (and lately, other fruits).

- This list consists of stand-alone restaurantswith
extensive selections of Canadian wines, both by the glass and complete
bottles. These restaurants were suggested by the subscribers of CANWINE, the
Canadian Wine mailing list, as being the best purveyors of Canadian wines in
general. Restaurants at, or run by, the wineries themselves are not

producing the finest, most sophisticated wines. French wines are the
standard that all other wines are inevitably compared against. From the
classy and sophisticated wines of the Bordeaux Chateaus, to the delicate and
sensuous country wines of Burgundy, to the classical bubbly of Champagne,
France, more than any other country.
